If you are a grammar Nazi, do not read this book. I had to continually add commas and periods in my head throughout the entire novel because the sentence structures didn't make sense without them, not to mention the word "too" was nowhere to be found. Despite this, I could not put the book down. The story was so interesting and I wanted to know who the bad guy was so badly. If the author decides to hire an editor for her future novels, I will happily read more.Product details

Tonight's Desire was an enjoyable story of a young woman Mia who had suffered tragic losses while in college. She was friends with shifters and considered family. She had finally graduated and been given the use of a cabin for a little getaway before she decided what to do with the rest of her life. She didn't know that two very hot and sexy shifters were going to be at the cabin when she got there. Cyr and Hunter knew almost immediately that Mia was their fated mate. Being twins they also knew she was meant for both of them. Now they just needed to convince Mia to mate with them. But as they got to know her more and wanted to protect her they suspected the tragedies she experienced over the last few years were deliberate. With the help of their families.....they were able to figure out who and what was stalking Mia. There story was full of mystery....danger....suspense and of course the steamy romance between fated mates. The beginning of this story was a bit confusing to me but as the story unfolded it got better and better. I enjoyed all the secondary characters and how they fit into Mia's life. Overall an enjoyable read. Highly recommend.
Couldn't actually get "into" the book until after Mia was sent to the cabin where she meet the Twins Cryil and Hunter. Before that however it was like a crazy soup of stuff happening. The story stars at a brief incident in 1975 and hops and skips until finally settling and focusing on Mia in the now. She is human but knows of shifters. Her bestfriend is a rare female shifter and Hunter and Cryil are her older twin wolf brothers.
Mia has a stalker after her killing those close to her; her parents, boyfriend, young boy she taught, her english teacher and her roommate. However Mia doesn't know she has a stalker she just thinks she's had a very bad year. Even a supposed suicide attempt. After graduating she just wants some time alone in a cabin her bestfriend Hailey hooked her up with for a bit. She arives at the cabin and litterly runs into hot male flesh of a twin.
Hormones fly leading of course to sex, cuddling and talking...not in that order of course. Stalker gets closer, Mia mates and almost gets killed and everything gets a nice little ending six months after, for now at least....
*The author has some time issues some times said weeks went buy then again stated it was only days, supposedly all incidents happened in a years time but the jumping time in the begining really confuses that issue.

Overall though I did enjoy the story it wasn't the best but I did like the characters. It was a freebie from so the price was right. Basic plot, killer was easy to pin down but loved that it hinted at another mating between Hailey and Dante, a vampire.
Some of the one- and two-star reviews made me wary of this book, but I'm glad I read it. The earlier editing issues seem to have been fixed, except usage of commas. I still saw one or two misspelled words/homonyms but not many. It is written in third person point of view and it was very clear whose main POV was being offered at any given time; the POV didn't jump around and whenever there was a switch, the transition was done well. I found the POV easy to follow.
I felt the plot was stellar and the suspense was excellent. It's clear some kind of evil is haunting or stalking Mia, and I had my suspicions about it but I was never completely sure until the big reveal came along. To me, that's an example of good writing. The plot is layered because it's not just a book about shifters finding their mate. There are family issues involved -- both Mia and the twins have suffered a lack of love in their pasts -- also Mia is human and usually shifters don't mate humans because humans are considered a lesser, weaker species. Not that Hunter or Cyril care about that, but others in the pack might not be so accepting. Add to that the danger Mia is in, and there is A LOT happening. But the author weaves it all together very well. I did not find it at all confusing.
I was also really impressed at the author's world-building and how she managed to clue me in to how the shifter society works, what mating is all about, why hybrids (a mix of two species) are special, and so on without any info dumps. It was cleverly done and at each step of the story I felt that I was given just enough information; I never was left with any questions and everything felt natural, not forced or illogical. I loved the supporting characters and can't wait for Dimitri, the pack Alpha, to have a story of his own. I thought it was so awesome that he has always had a soft spot for Mia and he has protected her throughout the years, being a father figure to her. It's great when a main character has a strong support system, it makes the story feel more 'complete' to me because in real life, we don't just live in a cocoon with our significant other. At the same time, I also feel like I get a better glimpse of who the person is since I get to see him/her interact with friends and/or family and not just with the love interest.
The development of the romance was lovely. Even though Hunter and Cyril recognized Mia as their true mate immediately, they didn't rush her and they took the time to get to know her. I loved that they had waited for their true mate and had refused to compromise. They were alpha, strong yet protective and caring -- my favorite type of book hero.
I loved this book so much that when I finished, I immediately bought the prequel, "A Fool's Heart", the story of Hunter & Cyril's father, and also Book 2, "Love's Forbidden Embrace", which is about Hailey (Mia's best friend and Hunter & Cyril's sister) and Dante (a vampire who is friends with Dimitri and has been helping the Volkoff Pack). I've started following this author to be notified of future releases, too!
